Last few days

Wednesday I walked to Kentish Town South (right near the closed down tube station) for weigh-in, and ran back. That's 1.5 miles! I was very pleased with myself.

Thursday was work. I walked from where I work in Chingford Mount to near Walthamstow, then had a walk around Epping Forest with the lovely [personal profile] reddragdiva. I estimate that I walked 6 or 7 miles. My quads were really aching from the squats and lunges I'd done on Tuesday, and my left achilles tendon was giving me a bit of trouble. Otherwise I would have continued walking down to Stratford, but I had to leave that for another day.

Friday I intended to go to the gym in the morning, but I was having an anxious day. I walked part of the way to Old Street (was late, had to hop on bus) and back the long way via the Regent's Canal/Angel. Then a lovely date with [personal profile] reddragdiva where we walked from King's Cross, through Regent's Park, up/down Primrose hill, to Chalk Farm.

Today I ran to the gym (1.1 miles). I found that Fred had done two of the workouts he'd promised me, so I picked the 'chest and back' one to do.

Assisted pull-ups (narrow grip): 50kg help * 12, 10, 8.
Dumbbell bent row (arm started off in front of me, not next to me): 8kg * 12, 10, 8
Pull-downs (narrow grip): 15kg * 12, 10, 8. Had complete flip out when stranger wanted to 'help' me, so I found the other machine to work on upstairs. Fail on his part.
Cable chest exercise with two cables (it's probably got a name): 7.5kg * 12, 10; 10kg * 8
The Smith machines were both in use, so I asked a gruff and not 'helpful' guy to give me a shout when he'd finished, and went over to use the silly floating platform thing so I could keep my heart-rate up. 10 minutes!
Flat chest-press: 20kg * 12, 10, 6
Incline chest-press: 15kg * 10, 8, 5. If I could've found another 1.25kg plate I would have reduced the weight to 12.5kg, but I couldn't so ah well.
Lying dumbbell flyes on the Swiss ball: 8kg * 10, 8, 6. I looked in vain for a pair of 6kg dumbbells. Do you ever do a bit of bouncing on the Swiss Ball because you can? I do :D
25 minutes of cardio on the reclining bike, followed by a leisurely walk home.
