Fitness journal
I've decided what to do with this journal for now: it will be a fitness journal. Yay fitness! I shall use cuts generously, as I'm aware that many people who have added me here aren't interested in that stuff.
I have a technical problem. I've tried to upload a userpic without avail. I've done it from a file, from a URL, with a big picture, with a less than 100 x 100 pixel picture, from my Ubuntu-running machine, from my Windows machine. Nada. It's frustrating. I miss having a live-in geek, or one who stays more than one night :/
Fitness stuff
Brisk walk to the gym (just over a mile away)
20 minutes of interval training on reclining bike (is easy on my wrists compared to normal bike)
Assisted pull-ups, wide grip, using 55kg to counter my approx 103kg bodyweight: 8 reps, 7 reps
Assisted pull-ups, narrow grip, 55kg: 8, 8
Assisted pull-up machine, dips, 60kg: 8, 6
Deadlifts, 30kg barbell: 10, 10, 6
Chest press, 20kg: 10, 10, 6
20 minutes jog/walking on treadmill. 90 secs jog/90 secs walk for that time. I don't get multiple suicidal thoughts when I jog on a treadmill! I get lots of them when I jog/walk in the open air.
15 minutes of stretching, which is more than I need to do, but stretching is <3
This is *much* less work than I was doing before I injured my wrists playing Solitaire on the computer. I'm taking it easy, doing 50% fewer exercises with weights where I use my hands and 1/3 fewer sets than before. I'm glad my wrists are healed enough to do this amount of work though, really f*cking glad. I love weight-lifting, and I love how I can transform my body by lifting heavy.
I plan to go on a long walk tomorrow.
